Gary Glenn Colley, Sr.,

Gary Glenn Colley, Sr., age 87, resident of Madison, Alabama and husband of Maggie Witty Colley, departed this life Wednesday morning, September 28, 2022 at his home.

Gary was born November 19, 1934, in Vernon, Texas, the son of the late Robert Lester Colley and Elgie Robbins Colley. He graduated from West Memphis, Arkansas High School in 1953 and was married September 15, 1955 to Maggie Witty Colley. He was a former resident of the Collierville, Tennessee area and served as an evangelist for many years. Gary was a member of Collierville church of Christ and he loved holding gospel meetings. He enjoyed fishing and will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother and friend.

Mr. Colley is survived by his wife, Maggie Witty Colley; his daughter, Sherri Motto (Tracy); his son, Gary Glenn Colley, Jr. (Cindy); his son-in-law, Jeff Jenkins; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Jenkins and his brother, Robert L. Colley.

Funeral Services for Mr. Colley will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Collierville church of Christ with Glenn Colley and BJ Clarke officiating. Congregational singing will be led by Caleb Colley. Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery in Memphis. A visitation for Mr. Colley will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Collierville church of Christ.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Memphis School of Preaching, 3950 Forest Hill-Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125.
